WESTMINSTER - SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

This wonderful Georgian terraced home is located in the heart of Westminster with views of the Houses of Parliament.

For this project we embarked on a unique journey that aligned with both luxury and sustainability. The client sought an interior that exuded eclectic elegance yet remained conscious of its environmental footprint.

In response, we committed to sourcing pre-owned, high-quality pieces from prestigious brands such as Tom Faulkner and Linley. Our goal was to preserve impeccable craftsmanship while contributing to the circular economy.

By carefully selecting second-hand luxury items, we not only minimized waste but also ensured the longevity of fine design, proving that sustainability can harmoniously coexist with sophistication.

This approach saved the client in excess of £35,000 from the original retail price on furniture alone, showcasing the financial benefits of sustainable choices.

The decision to source pre-owned also championed the craftsmanship that often defines luxury. These pieces, built to stand the test of time, came with a richness and history that added depth to the design. In this way, we curated a space that was not only beautiful but also responsibly sourced, reflecting the client’s values and commitment to sustainable living.

This project underscores the importance of thoughtful design that values quality, heritage, and environmental responsibility.

“I worked with Lisa after buying a new house in Westminster that had been rented for years, and although in a fantastic area and lovely architecturally, was very plain and unengaging throughout.

The brief was to create a home that was both eclectic and modern, leveraging the charm of a small Georgian townhouse and making best use of the space available. The project was the complete interior design of the inside of the property sourcing as much of the furniture as possible ‘second hand’ to fit the footprint of each room. This allowed trading up on quality and down on price at the same time!

From the first meeting Lisa was engaged with helping me formulate and articulate my vision. As the project progressed, she was a wonderful sounding board on furniture choices, space efficiency and when to spend on items that in the end made a positive difference to the overall project.

She has an excellent network of tradesmen and suppliers to support the delivery of the design in the agreed timelines.

We delivered the project in the time agreed, and I couldn’t be happier with the end product.

Most importantly though was the fun and laughter we shared throughout the project. Thank you for helping make my house a home!”
